- Assault – Sexual or Physical leaving disturbance such as nightmares, flashbacks.
- Anxiety (general anxiety or specific e.g. related to a specific event or anxious about many things).
- Bereavement (excessive and unremitting emotional disturbance)
- Breaking unwanted habits:
- Smoking
- Nail biting
- Grinding of teeth
- Any other unwanted habit.
- Childhood sexual and/or physical abuse or neglect
- Confidence issues.
- Depression.
- Driving anxiety
- Feelings of guilt or jealousy
- Generalised anxiety
- Hypertension & learning to relax in the case of nervousness when having blood pressure taken (White Coat Syndrome)
- Insomnia / Sleep disturbance
- Irritable bowel syndrome & Nervous stomach
- Low self esteem
- Memories (Troubling past memories)
- Disturbance from physical or psychological trauma
- Pain control (only after medical assessment by a doctor).
- Panic Attacks & panic disorder (If this is of sudden onset and associated with weight loss / gain – your doctor should be consulted in the first instance).
- Performance anxiety (performance in front of others eg presentations etc..)
- Phobias (all)
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (See EMDR)
- Sexual Assault (previously inflicted with troubling memories).
- Sleep problems
- Social Phobia (fear of meeting people and social situations).
- Sport enhancement
- Road traffic accidents / driving anxiety
- Surgical trauma (troubling past memory of a surgical procedure).
- Troubling past memories of any kind.
- War related experiences may include disturbance / flashbacks / nightmares.
- Weight (Hypnosis can be a useful adjunct to weight control).
- Workplace accidents (disturbance / flashbacks / nightmares)
